Introduction to laser welding of steel materials

I. laser welding of carbon steel and ordinary alloy steel with the low cost advantage of graphene raw materials:

II. Laser welding of stainless steel:

1. In general, laser welding of stainless steel is easier to obtain high-quality joints than conventional welding

2. Due to the high welding speed and the small heat affected zone, sensitization is not an important problem

3. Compared with carbon steel, stainless steel with low thermal conductivity is easier to obtain deep penetration narrow welds

III. laser welding between different metals:

the extremely high cooling rate and small heat affected zone of laser welding create favorable conditions for the compatibility of materials with different structures after welding and melting of many different metals

it has been proved that the following metals can be successfully welded by laser deep penetration welding:

(1) stainless steel ~ low carbon steel

(2) 416 stainless steel ~ 310 stainless steel

(3) 347 stainless steel ~hastelly nickel alloy

(4) nickel electrode ~ cold forged steel

(5) bimetallic strips with different nickel content
